Southern District Rope Fund

The Southern District Committee has established a District Rope Fund to utilise the surplus funds held by the District. This Fund will be available to any Tower in the Southern District as listed in the current Annual Report and will be overseen by the Southern District Committee.

Applications can be made in writing (including email) to the District Secretary (sdsec@surreybellringers.org.uk) by any tower captain or correspondent in the Southern District of the Surrey Association. Contributions may be sought towards the cost of new ropes, replacement tail ends and other consumables related to ringing, such as stays and floor mats, up to 75% of the cost and no

more than £250, and granted at the discretion of the Southern District Committee.

Applications will be considered by the acting members of the Southern District Committee and granted by a simple majority vote with the District Master having a casting vote.

Supporting invoices must be provided to support any claim before payment will be made.

No tower may make more than one application in any three year period. If more than four towers apply in any one calendar year the Committee reserve the right to delay or reject further applications.

All payments from the District Rope Fund will be notified at the Annual District Meeting and grants will continue to be available until notified otherwise at an ADM.
