Open 12 bell practice

Surprise Major Practices
What Happens at a Surprise Major Practice? These practices are for those that would like to extend their Surprise Major repertoire. The practices range from Cambridge through the standard 8 and beyond. Who are they for? Anyone who can already ring Surprise Major, or Surprise Minor and would like to extend this to Major, or aspiring Surprise ringers who are competent at Kent or Double Norwich and know the line for Cambridge.
Northern District Surprise Major – 3rd Friday evening normally at Carshalton. Organised by Shirley McGill firstname.lastname@example.org

Peripatetic practices are open to anyone who happen to be free during the day on the first Monday in the month (except bank holidays when we'll ring on the second Monday). Ringers of all abilities are welcome to join us. We ring at one bell tower in the morning from 10.30am to 12 noon, and then another in the afternoon 2.00 to 3.30pm.

Wandering Bobs is for those who wish to practice basic calling and is held every third Monday in the month, from 10.30am to 12.30pm, followed by optional pub lunch. Advanced Six Bell Practice (DFP)
This takes place on the second Monday of each month (with the exception of December) from 7.30 p.m. to 9.00 p.m., and is for those wanting to ring more complex six bell methods - plain courses, touches and spliced. There is a core list of methods, mainly for those who ring spliced and surprise methods only at the DFP, with one or two methods for those wanting to do something new.
The core plain methods (good for splicing) are Plain Bob, Little Bob, Single Oxford, and St Clements. If required by those attending, one or more of Double Oxford, Double Bob and/or Double Court can be added. The core Surprise methods are Cambridge, Bourne, London, Carlisle and Norwich.
