Recruitment Banners

An effective way of recruiting new ringers that has already been used by several towers in the Association is to put up banners outside the church to advertise ringing. As part of the Association Ringing Recovery Plan a grant from the Association of up to £40 is available for all Association towers to purchase their own banner (or other similar recruitment initiative).

If you are a developing Southern District tower, then you may be eligible for an additional grant from the Southern District Support fund.

Even if you are not ready to recruit and start teaching it would be useful to get these banners purchased and ready for use.

Please design, organise and purchase your own banner (or similar) and send the invoice to the general sectretary for reimbursement together with you bank details for reimbursement up to £40.

Top tips:

1. Seek agreement from your vicar and church wardens before putting up any banners.

2. Keep the design simple and eye catching.
3. Make sure you include contact details or information about practice nights.
4. Seek advise from your District Master or Secretary if you need help designing or purchasing a banner.
