Training

One of the priorities of the association is to facilitate and support the training of ringers of all abilities.

The association runs a programme of training courses each year focusing on key skills such as bell handling, method ringing and theory. We also focus on training experienced ringers to teach new recruits as part of the association of ringing teachers ITTS scheme.

See the calendar for details of upcoming training events.

Our courses are designed to support local bands and complement the district practices and other ringing events held throughout the year.

In addition to individual courses each year we hold two training days, one in each district, where students and helpers from across the association

Training is coordinated by our Training Officer, Paul Flavell, and supported by a cross district training group led by the General Master.
