Surrey's Youngest Ringers

Could Holly be our youngest ringer?  Holly is 12 years old and has been ringing in the Southern District since April 2009.  Her main accomplishment so far is taking part in this year's Friendly Striking Challenge and helping to get the band to the finals.  When asked what she likes best about ringing, Holly said she likes everything to do with the bells (but I also have it good authority that the getting paid to ring at weddings is a big bonus as well!)

Well actually Holly has been beaten to second place by these two budding young Southern District campanologists.  Both are aged 10 years and are working towards being able to ring in steady rounds.  Notable achievements so far for both was ringing solo on their second lesson!  I gather they will soon be ready to ring for Sunday morning services.  Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Welcome to James!  At the age of 9, James is possibly our youngest Surrey ringer.  James has been "having a go" with dad during the school holidays, and has just become confident at bell handling since this month.  James is now a regular member of the band and cracking on with call changes.
