The class of 2011 included 10 students (pictured left and below) and a fantastic group of helpers. This year's event took place over 3 days with ringing at Wimbledon, Redhill, Nutfield and the two towers in Caterham. The plan for this year was for some fairly intensive but light hearted sessions. Ringing included Plain Bob Doubles and Grandsire as well as Plain Hunt and call changes. At the end of the 3 days, all made brilliant progress and formed good friendships. Training Officer, Michael Uphill, treated all the students to lunch in The Pilgrim, Caterham. See more images in the gallery.

Here are some of the things our young ringers have been up to in 2010.
Young Ringers Week in August - for young ringers of all abilities. Congratulations to Steph Ruff on her first quarter on 12 bells (Grandsire Cinques), and to Tom Wood on completing 3 quarters in one day (Yorkshire Surprise Major, Cambridge Surprise Major and Stedman Triples).
Bands were arranged for Joe Wakeling and James Fox to ring long touches of Bob Doubles, Plain Bob and Grandsire Doubles.
The week finished with all the young ringers meeting up again along with Oliver Wakeling, George Gillams, Alice & Ruth Gibbin for more ringing at St John's Caterham. To read the full story click here, and to see more photos go to the gallery.
March Training Day - Chris Stanley helping youngsters with bell handling, rounds and call changes at Colliers Wood. See larger photo in the gallery.
