This year's Central Council meeting was held in Derby.  The main item on the agenda was a rule change for Honorary Members to be replaced by Additional Members and Ex Officio Members.  This passed with no comment.  It is particularly relevant for the Association because, in addition to its four representatives, over the years it has and had a number of Honorary Members in a variety of important roles - Bob Cooles, Eric Godfrey and Chris Ridley amongst others.

All in all, it was one of the shortest meetings for years.  Unfortunately there were vacant positions on some committees with no volunteers coming forward from the 200+ members present at the meeting.  The comment from the Vice President, our own Kate Flavell, asking why people were there if they didn't want to serve draw loud applause but no further nomination!  A full report will appear in The Ringing World in due course.
