The first peal rung for the Association was Grandsire Triples at Kingston upon Thames on 18th February 1881.  To mark and celebrate that occasion, the Association introduced a Peal Weekend over a decade ago so that efforts could be concentrated in that weekend to encourage members to attempt a peal.  Over the years the event has varied from very high profile to a more low key affair.  This year Shirly McGill co-ordinated the Weekend and eight out of ten attempts were successful.
