History
The present church was built in 1848, replacing an older building of which only the old tower survives. Six of the bells came from the old church, as did the clock, the font and many of the church fittings. The old bells were mainly cast by Lester and Pack in 1767 and now provide the back six with two new Trebles added after the transfer to the new church. The enlarged ring of 8 bells has subsequently been re-hung in a new iron frame installed in 1970.
Transport
By Road: The church lies to the west of the A24 (Ewell by-pass). Parking is available in London Road or Church Street.
By Train: To Ewell East station from Victoria and 10 minute walk to the church. To Ewell West station from Waterloo and 10 minute walk to the church.
Facilities
There are toilets in church hall, when open, and also in London Road.
Six pubs within walking distance. The Spring does fairly posh food, The Eight Bells has good food and a family-friendly but uninspiring garden, King William IV has a garden capable of taking a large party and probably does food, and The Wheatsheaf has the best summer garden but is fairly small and does minimal food.
